Sports Day!

I had just participated the school’s sports day and oh boys it was sure exhausting. The event was held in Gor Padjajaran at 6 in the morning. I am happy to represent for the blue dolphins for shot put and 400m run. I felt nervous and scared at first since im scared that my housemates would be angry at me if i failed to win. I gained confidence and I won shot put and 400 m race for 2nd place. Even though i failed to win 1st i still enjoyed the day and I learned to be more confident of myself.

My Term Break

👋🏻 everyone, I am on my term break right now away from all of those worksheets and CAs and I am enjoying my break very much. I didn’t go travel anywhere this break since my sister came home from her studies. I am really glad to see her and she told me many stories on her activities in Singapore. I didn’t do much this break but to summarize my break, I mostly just play console games with my friends and probably just went out with my family. So that is how my term break has been going. I hope everyone have a nice rest and see u back in school!

The Last Week!

Hi everyone! So guess what… it is finally term break, I have been dying for the term break to come and have a break from all of the stress. This week, in english we actually didn’t learn anything, instead we use the time to practice for our speech choir. Our school will be hosting the make x competition this year and the school wanted us our class to perform for the students from the different campuses. I am very much happy that I have survived the first term and i think that I had adapted well to secondary 3. For the next term I will always strive to be my very best and I will work harder to achieve good grades.

Reflection Week 9

Two more week then it is term break (wohoo🥳). I really can’t wait to escape from the stressful weeks of studying and sleeping late. This week, in English time, we continue on watching the movie, “The Pursuit of Happyness”. The movie inspired me so much and it taught me that sometimes nothing could become something. The father and his son were poor and homeless for a while, but the father worked his butt off and it paid off, soon then he became a millionaire. The next day, it is finally the day of the Ted Talk and guess what……I went first in line. When presenting my talk, I was actually calm and not nervous. I felt that overall my talk was pretty good and I hope to get a good grade for it. Lastly, in English this week, we had an activity in the textbook. We had to read a short passage and answer questions about it that were given to us. Well that is about it for this week. Next week would be the final week before the break and I wish it would come real soon.

Character Camp

This year’s character camp was amazing. It started of Friday of week 8. We had to come at 7 a.m. even though we are leaving for the venue at 11 a.m. for us to know the rules, our grouping, etc. When the groupings was announced, I was pleased, my group consist of Aston, Kev T, Sheryl, Latizia, Davy, Michelle, Yanxin, Isaura and Tessa. Even though i didn’t really know anyone there aside from Aston, I was eager to bond with the others. In the venue, we do all sorts of activities and we did it with our group. During the activities, we were enjoying the time together. In the end of the day, we had a really bonfire and we charred some marshmallows to eat (YUM😋). When it is time to go to bed, I had a hard time to fall asleep since the sec 3 boys shared the villa with the jc boys, we really can’t sleep because their so loud. The next day, after breakfast we headed back for bandung. Even though i felt tired, the memories I made was priceless and I would not forget this year’s character camp.

Week 8 Blog

Hi earthlings, how do you do? Time is fast and slow at the same time isn’t it? Well, it’s already the eighth week of term 1. For english this week, we had a CA on having to write a story. We could choose from either narrative writing or descriptive writing, and i chose narrative since I am more familiar with it. On the next days of english, we just took a short break from exhaustion and we watch a movie called “The Pursuit of Happyness”. This movie is based on a true story and it is about a father who did anything for his son even though they are struggling with money. Even though we haven’t finish the movie yet, i am inspired and touched that the father would never give up on his son even with no money at all. On that week, there is a school event which is the character camp. Those who joined would skip class on Friday and stay in Taman Bougenville for one night. From the camp, i really learned many values and the ways on how to be a better character. It is really fun on having a small break from school and and refresh our minds from the CAs. Next week, CAs would come to attack me and I hope that I would be prepared and get great scores. Happy weekend to everyone!😌

TED Talk

TED Talks are powerful speeches which usually an individual spread ideas about a certain topic. It has taught me new ideas and insights about many different kinds of topics. By watching people presenting their talks in a confident way, i feel that in the end of the day words spoken from his/her mouths can be used for our lives. I would have a TED talk for myself tomorrow and i hope i would do well and inspire others.

1)School kills creativity- by: Sir Ken Robinson

Sir Ken Robinson talks about why creativity is as important as learning academics, and why students should be given more chance to show their talents. I really liked his talk because he made jokes that made the audience laugh and questioned them often to make the audience feel participated.

Power Line: “If they don’t know they’ll have a go. If your not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything creative. We are educating people out of their creative tendencies.”

2)How to speak so that people want to listen- by: Julian Treasure

Julian treasure talks about being negative is hard to be listened to and what to do so that people would listen. I liked his talk because he gives us a lot to know on the values that would effect on why people listen to us and why they do not. His tone was good and made me immersed in to the talk. He then made a little activity for the audience to do so it is not boring.

Power Line: “The human voice is the only one that can start a war or say i love you.”

3)Looks aren’t everything- by: Cameron Russell

Cameron Russell talks about how people look doesn’t define who they are. I liked her talk because she is a model who is beautiful, but she shows others that even the most beautiful face is not everything. Instead of telling, she show the audience. She dressed up neatly and nicely in the beginning of the talk but then changed her outfit to an ugly one on purpose to show the audience what she was talking about.

Power Line: “I got these free things because of how I look and not who I am, and there are people paying a cost because of how they look and not who they are.”

Reflection week 7

I had just started writing again since i was very busy and had forgotten to. Here i am back again to give u guys an update of my life in school. This week is already the seventh week of the term. It is actually pretty fast when you think about it, but it’s a good thing since school is so lame🙄. This week in english we didn’t do much, we had no activities and we just study about a new topic, which is writing a narrative story. We are told to write a narrative story of our own with the plot that the teacher chose for us. The week was also exhausting since as usual, there were tons of CAs and i am sick of it🤢 (can the CAs STOP). I was actually happy in the beginning since i was chosen to play for the basketball team in semarang and represent BBS Bandung. I figured that even if i was tired i still could look forward to the end of the week for the friendship games. But guess what?….. I got sick and my parents didn’t allow me to join…..(SAD)😭😭😭. Well that’s it for this week, i hope that i could continue the weeks to come with happiness and good scores. Thank GOD for this week.🙏🏼

Reflection#2

The month of August has just begun and it is already the fourth week of the year, pretty fast right? But we expect nothing less than multiple of CAs that we have this week. Biology, english, computer science, etc. On english we had the CA is all about persuasive speech, even though i hated any form of writing, i had no choice but to study since i want to get good grades. We didn’t have any events, but the secondary 3 are vigorously practicing for an upcoming interclass competition, which is a speech choir competition (no excitement whatsoever). We were told to merge with the secondary 3 wisdom and have a performance as one class. In my opinion, the number of people are too many, but anyways the more the merrier right? I have nothing else to say for this week and i hope that we could win the competition as a class and hopefully all the practices will run smoothly. LETS GO SECONDARY 3😀!

Reflection of the week

This week in school was just an ordinary one, it was just the third week of the school year and there were no activities that I was particularly interested in just a week of full of homework, “Boring”. There was indeed one major activity, which was a tradition to BBS and we had it every year, “Class Decoration”. Although I was not fully drawn to this activity, it was truly fun. The secondary 3 Grace got to bond more and build up teamwork. We really worked hard to win and we helped each other whenever someone was struggling with their work. As a class monitor, I learned to be more responsible, since some of the time teachers were not around and I had to make sure the class is behaved and doing their assigned work correctly. It was sure a fun week asides from the homework and we hoped to bring the bacon home for the class decoration competition.
